ALIEN AUTOPSY - THE MOVIE and the Special Effects Connection to the original film

I interviewed Spyros Melaris yesterday. I use the word 'interview' loosely. I simply put the tape recorder in front of him and away he went. No notes, no erms, or ums, or pauses. He explained the brain removal, the US wall sockets, named names the lot. I undertook a two hour audio taped interview and only scratched the surface. He also showed me documentation. This included his 1995 diary, original pencil designs for the alien, original colour painting (a kind of story board) for the whole AA story. Original fax from Kodak who supplied the film canister boxes and labels. A large dossier of research material into US military vehicles circa l947.

His book should be available by January 2008, he will be with me on stage at Laughlin in February 2008.

When is Philip speaking? Date and Time

It will take me a while to transcribe the interview, in fact I'm going to ask a colleague to do this for me. It will write a feature for the Jan/Feb issue of UFO DATA magazine.

Once I have the transcription done I'll gladly let you have a copy.

If there are those who want to check out some of his story then he used a private pilot by the name of Rodney Corn in or near Roswell in l995 to fly him over the desert. This plus other research enabled him to locate a fictitious crash site. Whether Rodney corn can remember him is a different matter.

(Mark Center checked on this part of the story.)

Mark's Report:

I located Rodney Corn, he's a real guy - pilot, and does live in Roswell, or just outside of that town. He doesn't specifically remember "Spyros", but when I asked him if I went down there in the early '90's, and if I wanted to be flown around that area to check out the local topography, would he do that for me. He told me yes, and when I asked him would he still do that, he told me yes. When I asked him the questions, I never told him about the AA, only that I was researching for a book I was co authoring (hint Philip! :-), and so on. I found his name and address on the internet, as anyone could. Since he can't remember Spyros, who knows? He could have just found the listing himself, as I did, and used the name? Taking a chance if the guy could state that he never met him, but he can't, one way or the other...

Also, he believes the guys name who played the part on the nonexistent cameraman's son is a chap called Guy Levy (spelling). He wasn't involved in that aspect of things but thinks he may be some kind of film/video distributor in the US.

Any of you guys want to check these names out ?

Your bet was wrong, he didn't do any back flips and he answered in a lot of detail everything I asked him.

The devil is in the detail, and he went into a lot of detail. He is holding certain things back for his book, which  I fully accept. Ed will never believe him no matter what but for me, I have little or no doubt that he is who he claims to be and he is the man behind the whole fake alien autopsy film.

Regards,

Philip Mantle
