Canadian Alien Autopsy Re-creation
Page updated on 07/13/97
History: The Canadian re-creation was executed by the Twins F/X Group based in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. Brothers Erik & Karl Gosselin, appeared on a talk-show based in Montreal (1.3 million viewers that day), where they talked about the Alien Autopsy Footage. Erik stated that he thought it would be pretty easy to do an alien autopsy. Erik recalls, "Some guy from the CEIPI UFO research group was on the show and he said that if it's so easy to duplicate, why don't you just do it!"

"So that's what we did," said Erik. "5 weeks later we re-appeared on the show and presented a color and black & white version of our 12 minute autopsy and it shut everybody up." These three stills are the ones the brothers sent out to prospective buyers of the footage. Note: Count the toes! (Hint: 6)

I just received a letter from the Gosselin Brothers in which they tell me that thier footage was not intended to be an exact re-creation of the Alien Autopsy. All they wanted to do was show that it could be done with FX. I gave the brothers a copy of some very gory FX work out of Spain and they were very impressed. We'll post a couple of stills, maybe...it's very gory, nothing like you've seen before.

These photos are from a Strange Universe segment. The Strange Universe Paranormal TV show were the only ones (so far) to show an interest in the footage. They only used a very short segment of the footage which allowed them not to pay for the broadcast rights. Currently the brothers have not re-couped their material cost: $2000. An interesting addition to this story, they used a real pathologist to cut up their body. Nice work Gosselin Brothers!
