Summation
by T. Carlson
This is how I see the evidence:
Pretty much the scenario laid out by the sfx people
with some changes and exceptions. ( And some image evidence too).
The reflected skin is not wet, (sorry, Mr. Winston) it is
simply a shiny surface reflecting the bright light. The blood streaks that appear
to be drips along the side of the torso are painted on, they never change. They
don't get longer or wider. And no new drips appear.
The body is hollow when they reflect the skin. They
paint the drips and dress the inside, adding just enough organs to film the
really "oooh-wow" alien looking scenes. The object removal, the cutting
of the tube, the removal of the large gooey organ. All of these scenes, the
important scenes of the abdominal dissection, appear on what is labeled reel
61. (Reel 62 only has the hamburger removal scene, then moves on to the
eyes, the highlight of that reel.)
Now that they have the good scenes filmed, they fill the
body cavity including a ribcage thingie. They film this scene. Note that the
body cavity is already open when reel 59 begins, and the doctor is just holding
that reflected skin as he moves the knife under it. He isn't pulling or tugging,
stretching or tearing at it, like the scalp scene. Note that the neck flap doesn't
drip when they lay it up on the chin. Again, its dry just like the torso skin.
The majority of this reel is "filler". The camera operator spends lots of time
just going back and forth, over the body very slowly, and even spends time on
the face. They have to run the reel out, so that they can remove the organs
again off camera, then this reel is simply placed before the reel with all the
good gooey alien stuff.
If they have any trouble with this second scene, well they
already have the good stuff filmed and they could actually film the head and
brain scenes without showing the messed up body.
The oops was that the innards have the blood stuff on them.
And it drips out the bottom of the body cavity opening. And somehow in the dressing
they splatter the blood stuff on the wall and table.
I feel the evidence for the reels being out of order is clearly
visible in the footage. But I know that others won't see it. <sigh>
The catch-22 is:
If it is claimed that the footage is in the proper order as filmed, then
it is a fake because of the inconsistencies in the blood marks.
If it is claimed that it is out of order, which is obvious to me that
it is, then the footage is fake because of the inconsistencies in the scenes.
Get it? Well, okay it's theory, speculation but is there an explanation
for the evidence? Is there anyway this evidence could be excused and it still
be claimed that its a real autopsy?
Want good evidence that the knife is a blood knife? At the end of reel
62, when the doc starts scoring the scalp, watch the table about an inch or
more out from the head towards the camera, and near the edge of the table.
As the doc's hand goes around a blood stuff drips on the table. Too far away
to have come from the body, but right in the path the blood knife traveled.
The knife leaked out the wrong end when the doc squeezed? That blood stuff maybe
dried out and plugged up the tube. <shrug> It could happen to anyone!
A truly phenomenal film. A masterpiece of art and ingenuity. I hope the makers
never tell.
I give it two thumbs up.
