Q 1: Why would anyone want to call themselves a UFO researcher?

A 1:    Everyone has at least a passing interest in the UFO phenomena. Generally, once you start looking into it you'll discover many amazing and, at the same time, infuriating unanswerable questions. Looking for these answers will fuel your research. Calling yourself a UFO Researcher is a two edged knife. In the field, your thought of as brethren, outside of the field, your thought of as a kook, nut-case, etc.

Q 2: What credentials do you need to be a researcher?

A 2:.    Credentials can help you or they can hurt you. If you research the subject sufficiently and keep up with the breaking stories, people really don't care if you're a janitor or working at JPL. If the information "seems" credible, presented in a credible manner, people are willing to listen to (and believe) anybody.

Q 3: What makes one researchers "Credible" and another one a "Fraud? "

A 3:    Its all in the delivery. If you sound credible (to the general public), you will be taken seriously. However, if you're blowing smoke, you will be exposed. Sooner or later, you will look like a fool. If you are a janitor or work at JPL, tell it like it is, "I am a janitor who's done his homework!" If you make stuff up, you will be found out.
