Mon     2       12      1996    JE quotes directly from BS in an attempt to determine, once and for all, the truth behind the Santilli payment row. JE reports BS's denial of PM's "joke" explanation with "... obviously its not true".

Thur    5       12      1996    SF interviewed on US TV claiming that RS will not have the autopsy footage tested because he knows that if he did it would be exposed as a hoax.

Thur    5       12      1996    TF1's Nicholas Maillard dismisses "Le Canard Enchaine" 's claim (reported on 20 November 1996) that TF1 proved that VS as the hoaxer as an untrue claim made by a disgruntled former employee of the TF1 team

Fri     6       12      1996    PM again states that he was "not paid by Ray Santilli or anyone else for that matter for writing the script for his video, etc, etc, etc. As I previously stated on numerous occasions I was only paid a consultancy fee and that is all. End of story."

Mon     9       12      1996    OMNI publish a two hour transcript of an interview with BK

Fri     13      12      1996    JE reports that according to BS's friend Steven Kaiser PM and KH's book "Beyond Roswell" "... has had its publication date put off until March or April of next year" (1997).

Fri     13      12      1996    MC announces that FUJI TV in Japan will be broadcasting an interview with the camera-man on 19 December 1996

Mon     16      12      1996    BS reports that RS claims that he received the tent footage on video and that VS has "both autopsies on 16mm film"

Wed     18      12      1996    JE asks BS when he was first aware that Kodak would not be involved in further testing and what the value would be of an alternative laboratory testing the footage in the absence of Kodak's expertiese.

Wed     18      12      1996    MH threatens JE with legal action if he continues claiming that MH received payment from RS

Thur    19      12      1996    BS replies to JE that originally Kodak agreed to date test the footage but kept changing the rules, e.g. changing the amount of film required from "one tiny bit from one frame", to a "20 inch strip" to a "16 foot strip". BS adds that "... not a single item of many promised by Kodak's Tony Amato has ever been mailed to me" and that following Professor Malanga's date tests in Italy he asked Kodak to forward further supporting material but that "... their response was completely evasive and they did not supply this simple data".

Thur    19      12      1996    BS admits that RS "... has a tendency to exaggerate things to his benefit, and even when he is being absolutely forthright he tends to use language very sloppily".

Thur    19      12      1996    MH again threatens JE with legal action for his "lies" and "character assassination"

Thur    19      12      1996    JE posts a statement from Rebecca Schatte explaining how she had first heard of the claim that MH and PM had been paid $ 10,000 "for their work on the autopsy footage" on 13 April 1996 by "someone who is close to and respected by both Philip and Michael".

Thur    19      12      1996    BS admits that RS knew he was setting up proper examination of the film boxes but then claimed he had sent them back to the cameraman when the time came to test the boxes.

Fri     20      12      1996    Carl Sagan dies

Sat     21      12      1996    BS challenges Tony Amato's claim that Kodak has been waiting since July 1995 to test the film. BS adds that he did not know of RS' decision not to use Kodak for further testing until after the fact.

Sat     21      12      1996    BS posts an explanation from PM concerning his receiving "hundreds of pounds" from RS for "a consultancy fee" on a "monthly" basis. PM denies receiving any other payments and that "in no way" did his consultancy fee "effect or influence" his work.

Sat     21      12      1996    TC appears on a live Encounters forum

Sun     22      12      1996    BS explains that he was the source of the claim that PM and MH received $ 10,000 from RS and that he misunderstood the fact that this was money RS paid MH for the rights to film footage he and a colleague filmed two  years ago (which was unconnected with the autopsy footage). BS adds that he received $ 2,000 from RS for expenses, plus two plane tickets and a night in a hotel.

Mon     23      12      1996    MH admits to having sold his interviews of Roswell witnesses to RTL TV, who then sold the footage onto RS. MH states that "I never received any expenses, consultancy fee or anything like that from Ray or his people, nor did I sell him/her anything which has to do with my research on the autopsy footage."
