Shortly after its release, this web-ster complied a very detailed report and critique regarding the Alien Autopsy section of this book. As is always the case, we make every possible attempt to get the response from the people / material being critiqued before we release the information. Before I published this report on our web site (http:www.uforeport.com), I presented this report to the authors (Mr. Philip Mantle and Mr. Michael Hesemann), and many other researchers/enthusiasts who have been involved in the story; Mr. Bob Shell, Ms. Theresa Carlson, Mr. Robert Morning Sky, Mr. James Easton, etc.
In this case Shell, Morning Sky, Carlson, and the others had nothing but a positive response to our report. Shell expressively stated that he had, "No problem with anything in the report." This is telling because Shell has been instrumental in the repackaging and up dating the book in the form of a CD-ROM (see our CD review for more information). It's telling in that our report was very negative, casting doubt on much of the material and in the way it was presented. Even at this, Shell has taken it upon himself to try and right he wrongs we've identified and he's confirmed.
Mantle responded in his typical reserved nature, "I had really very little to do with the book. It was mostly Michael's (Hesemann) work." Interesting that Mantle was recently published in the MUFON UFO Journal (December 1997 Number 356 Page 14 to 16), in an article where he creatively patched together a slim reworking of the Alien Autopsy section from Michael's book. By doing so, Mantle has inadvertently (I assume), hung his researchers shingle on Hesemann's work as being definitive "enough" to quote from.
I questioned Mantle on his presentation of the same out dated material, said Mantle, "I wrote this up a very long time ago, and I had no idea that they were going to publish it." Nonetheless, the material he presents (then and now) is pro-biased, agenda-oriented, and very deceptively assembled. It should be noted that Mantle bills himself as the MUFON Representative for England. Personally, I would think that a little more objectivity would be fitting of such a title as his.
Hesemann has refused to responded to any of my (and others) repeated call to arms. He has been quoted as saying something to the affect of, "There's nothing of substance to respond to in Mark's review of my book." That certainly is not the case but he's welcome to his opinion.
In this section of our web site we will present to you a pictorial response and breakdown of the problems with the Alien Autopsy section of the book "Beyond Roswell." Much of this material can already be found in our initial report, however, with the re-release of the book we have found it necessary to up date and re-release our material in response. Hopefully (by way of a more photogenic means) we can "make our case" in a more profound and interesting manner.
As always please keep this in mind. Do not make any decisions based on this (or any) information you find on this web site. Investigate fully everything, anyone says, at all times. Only the fully informed can make astute decisions. Beware of all information, and all decimators of that information. Everyone has an agenda.
