San Francisco, California November -16 / 17, 1996 Park Plaza Hotel, Burlingame, California
Part 1:
To be absolutely truthful, I wasn't going to go to this EXPO. I attended the EXPO in Los Angeles, which was held a scant 5 months previous, and there really wasn't any need to see the same speakers and vendors as before. However, after some thought and the pleasant idea of spending some time with fellow researchers; Bob Eggleson and Greg Bellah, near my home town, I decided to go and do a little socializing.
Like any convention, exposition or county fair for that matter, these UFO EXPO's seem to be all the same except for the on again, off again scheduling of the same pool of talent. I had previously introduced myself to Mexico-based journalist and UFO enthusiast, Jamie Maussan and UK-based Crop Circle Investigator, Colin Andrews at the LA show in July of 1996 and these gentlemen were appearing here as well (I missed Andrews appearance this time, regrettably). At the very least I thought I could present these gentlemen with my latest newsletter (see if they remembered me and / or my previous pulp pontifications...Maussan didn't), and try to keep a line of dialog open for future repatriations.
On Saturday, we attended the "price of admission lectures" in which every speaker gives you a quick once-over on what their area of expertise is. Later in the weekend you are asked to attend their more in-depth workshop. One speaker, Sean David Morton (Television producer, Earthquake and Earth changes predictor, and world see'er among other self-professed talents), gave a very high energy and animated talk about his recent and on-going investigations.
Morton was very excited about a fax he had just received (HOT OFF THE WIRE, as it were), relaying some very exciting information about a proposed expedition to the Great Pyramids. He said he has been working on this expedition for six months. His plan? To dig up recently discovered under ground chambers, actually a maze of chambers, in which he theorizes that he and his contact, Dr. Sherwood, may find the library of Atlantis. He went on to theorize that the whole Giza Plaza (which the Sphinx and the Great Pyramids rest on) just may be a manufactured plateau; in essence, a giant building extending 12 stories under ground. The top 5 stories are empty and the remaining lower levels hold the library.
He went on to talk about the legends surrounding this area and the pit falls they might encounter upon entering the chamber. As legend, and Morton, has it The Staff of Ra and the Ark of the Covenant (sounds very Indiana Jones-ish doesn't it.), Blue Force fields protecting the chambers, and the idea that only certain people can pass through these force fields and enter the chambers. These people must have the right RNA / DNA make-up (among other traits), or they won't be let in. If they do manage to skirt these security efforts, a door will slide open, flooding the chamber with the water from the Nile, downing Morton (if he's got the right stuff to make it in) and the other would-be adventures. Even if they are let in (after passing the RNA / DNA test and reciting certain Power Verses to lower the Blue Force Fields), three intrepid adventurers will be allowed to enter and only one will leave the chamber.
Finally, Morton said that at one site near the Sphinx there is a chamber opening (currently under guard), which is emitting strange, almost chanting sounds. Then under his breath Morton said the unmistakable remark that only a true promoter would make to sink his teeth into his audience ( in my opinion), "People have attempted to go into this chamber...No one has come back out!" This expedition and excavation is set to take place December 5 through the 16 in 1996. Morton says we should know by the New Year what, if anything, they found.
Part II Each speaker appears at their own workshop, which is designed to better focus their information and discuss it with people willing to pay the $25.00.
Morton started the workshop off by retelling his paying customers ($25.00 a pop, the room was half filled, maybe 25 people), about the expedition planned for December of 1996 to the Giza Plaza. After this, his information was fast and furious, if somewhat disjointed. But it was presented in a very animated and humorous way.
Morton told of his investigation of an alleged underground base in Colorado. He then showed the results of a seismic test he and his associates conducted at the site. ET Contactee Billy Meier photo analyst, Jim Delitoso, invented the specific seismic process used in this test. Morton also ran a video tape copy of a small segment of black & white, 8mm film purportedly showing the inside of this underground base, as well as some aerial footage and stills of the area. He went on to elaborate on the possibility of Human / ET clones which are being manufactured at this base. He came by this information through a contact that says he used to work at the base.
Next he presented his involvement with an on-going contactee case in Miami, Florida. Randolph Winters first brought this case to the publics attention and, as Morton puts it, "Winters is now out of the picture and I have the exclusive rights to the story now." Morton showed those in attendance a few dozen photos of Billy Meier type ET craft, taken by the previously anonymous "Adriane." As expected, many of the photos (Polaroid film, we were told) were out of focus and contained different anomalies consistent with UFO photographs.
Morton presented a photo, taken while Adriane was aboard an ET craft we are told, which shows another craft along side of and just below the craft Adriane was in. Interestingly enough, the Miami coast line can be seen at the bottom of the picture frame, showing known structures and coastline landmarks. Morton also showed us a photo which he explained, "Believe it or not this is supposed to be a photo (black & white) of Jesus, John, Mary, and a few more of his buddies! I can't tell you if its real, but that's what Adriane told me."
Morton said that after Adriane gets through with his European tour (to this date, I'm told, nobody knew what this guy looked like and he had been in hiding until Morton convinced him to go public), he and Morton will release a video tape and photo book presenting the most amazing photos and film Adrian has to offer. Adriane's girlfriend says she's been aboard the ET craft as well and, if Morton can be believed, he will present a photo of Adriane's girlfriend as she climbs the ladder to board a craft. Even more amazing, Morton says they have a video of a craft landing, the door opening and Adrian walking into the craft with a video camera (in-hand)and running, capturing the entire scene. The boarding segment is supposedly shot in one take, with no cuts.
Lastly, Morton presented an 8 by 11 color still, captured from a silent, three minute video tape, which was allegedly shot while an alien Grey was being interrogated by its military captures. Morton said this video was allegedly taken at a below ground military base and will be released at a later date. Said Morton, "Mark, the Alien Autopsy was the last video to be proved real or fake, the Alien Interrogation will be the next one!" Hard to comment on the frame capture... Sure enough it showed a big grey alien head with wrap around eyes but the room was very dark making it difficult to distinguish very much else. As Morton put it, the creature looked unstable; its head was wobbling around, he looked sickly, very tired. Said Morton, "After a short time, two medical people came into the room and carted off the ET when it could no longer keep its head up." "Also in the room," Morton said, "was a person wearing what looked like military clothing and sitting besides him was a channeler, or clairvoyant." Evidently, this channeler relayed the ET's thoughts to the military man. Strangely, Morton said that a re-creation was being prepared for release but he never did say when, or if, the original video footage would be released.
After his presentation I asked Morton what he thought of the Alien Autopsy footage. (When I mentioned the footage I heard laughs and giggles all around me, I guess many in this crowd think it's a fake.). Morton started to re-tell the story behind the footage and I had to cut him off short and ask him again, "What do you think about the footage? I already know the story behind the footage." Said Morton, "Well, much of what you see in the footage correlates with what I've been told by abductees long before the footage surfaced." Morton's only specific correlation regarded the dark eye coverings. This is not surprising since the lions share of abductions are alleged to be perpetrated by the almond-shape-eyed Grey type aliens.
Morton went on to state that he thought Bob Shell had conclusively dated the footage to 1947. I informed Morton that no camera original film had been dated; and in fact, as far as we can tell, none of the snippets of film which Santilli released for testing purposes can be traced to the consumer release of the Alien Autopsy video. To that, another workshop attendee started to ask Morton another question on the footage to which Morton curtly responded, "Ask Mark, he's the one who's been doing the research."
Morton also stated that he had, in some way, either introduced Alien Autopsy: Fact or Fiction - producer, Robert Kiviat to Santilli, or some other contact; and, in effect, backed out of the promotion of the footage. This seems unlikely due to the fact that the autopsy footage is a perfect fit to the type of material Morton already deals in. I think what he was trying to say was that he was involved on the ground floor with this footage, maybe even contacted first to produce something on it. Why he didn't market the footage himself I can't say for sure, he was a little muddled on this point. Morton also stated that he was recently involved in a "bidding war" of sorts to purchase the broadcast rights to the now legendary; First Alien Autopsy. Morton stated that Santilli's investor / handlers ( who really knows!), wanted a million dollars and no one in attendance would pay them that amount. He didn't say what the outcome of the bidding was.
In this vain I should report to you that Morton publishes a very thick newsletter which he sells for $25.00 each. In one edition he included a photo of a UFO in a hanger at an Italian Air Force base. This photo has been proven to be a photo manipulation done by UK-based UFO Researcher, Robert Irving. Even Irving himself came forward to tell all. When I told this to Morton he said, "Well what about the other photo?" I didn't bother to tell Morton that there is only one photo. The one he published is a cropped down, and then blown up, portion of the full frame photo. I then gave Morton a free copy of my last two newsletters, which he thumbed through and indicated that he liked the contents. Morton didn't offer me a copy of his material.
Morton's a colorful guy, quick with the joke and lighting fast with the information. So fast in fact, that one has little time to comprehend what he's just said. After which, he's off to another subject completely or he's attempting to back up what he'd just said with another story which, depending on how you look at it, may or may not be analogous to his last story. He just keeps going and going and going and going...
Update: I've called Morton's phone numbers (2 that I know of), and he just won't call me back. I'd like to get an up-date on some of this stuff but I'm only going to work so hard. You know what I mean? I've talked to some other people who've had dealings with Morton and this is the way they put it to me was, "Sean hides from people." Ollie, ollie, oxinfree, Sean.
